My name is J. Dominique. I’m seventeen years old, and I am an aspiring — and dedicated — writer. I am currently writing a series called “Eternal,” which is a fantasy with action, adventure, and a touch of romance. My ultimate dream is to be published by eighteen. We’ll see about that, though! It’s a high order.

Here’re some random things about me: I love mozzarella sticks; I am a Ravenclaw; I often order more books than I can read; I’m obsessed with anime and manga; music is awe-mazing; I play the piano; I love cats; and people think I look younger than I am but believe I act older than I am — it’s confusing, I know.

On this blog, I’ll be posting a variety of all things writing: stuff about me and my writing, stuff to help you, and just loads of, well, stuff.

Thanks for visiting!

  1. It does the heart well to see someone so young with such passionate interests and dreams. It does not surprise me that people tell you you sound beyond your years, even if you appear younger!

Thanks for following my blog, and best of luck with all your writing and publishing endeavors! πŸ™‚

  2. Thanks for stopping by my blog and for the follow. Mind if I ask what the “J” stands for? πŸ™‚ Anyway, you’ve got a good start to your blog. Enjoyed reading your posts.

  3. Princess, you are adorable! I hope you don’t take that offensively. I told my husband how you read 200 books this past year because I think it’s just so awesome. How cool did God make you πŸ™‚ You keep thinking big, princess. Amanda Davis, sci-fi writer, got her first book, Precisely Terminated, published at nineteen πŸ™‚ If God wills it, and you continue to work diligently and strive for excellence, you can do it! And if anything, there’s always the free Kindle Direct Publishing option :)) Much love to you girl. I pray God’s best for you!

      • <33 If you ever need any writing advice or opinions on your story or characters, let me know. I also encourage you to attend a good writing conference if you haven't already. I've heard it's good to invest in at least one a year, and after attending the same amazing one twice, being apprenticed by the very gifted fantasy author, Bryan Davis, I totally agree with that advice. I go to the Florida Christian Writers conference because Bryan is a GREAT teacher. You can check out his youtube videos to see what I mean πŸ™‚

      • Thank you. I have gone to one conference before, and I hope to go to more. The problem for me is that it’s so expensive. I’ll check yours out, though. :)Thanks again!

  4. Hi J. Dominique!
Thanks for checking out our writers blog. And good luck on your wonderful ambition! I see you’re a NaNo writer, me too! Here comes another great writing season.

  5. Greetings, J. Dominique! I no longer remember how I found myself on your blog but I’m glad I did. I think your posts are very informative and personable, and your poetry evocative. I am curious to know more about your Eternal series, however. It sounds like you have more editing you want to do but, in the meantime, do get in touch if you are looking for advice, although _your_ advice is spot-on! Best, Naya
